Going through the calendar from January to December there are links below to the key events, activities and awards that ColegauCymru is leading and/or participating in, with the support of its member colleges.
The calendar
Money Week starts off the events calendar early in the new year. Money Week started in 2009 and is going from strength to strength.
ColegauCymru hosted a Qualifications Conference on 2 February 2012 at Cardiff City Stadium.
| Money for Life Challenge was a great success for Wales this year. The Wales final was held at Cardiff City Stadium on 4 April and the UK Grand Final in May - in which a team from Wales won. Well done all! |

ColegauCymru hosted a
Teaching and Learning Conference on 30 March 2012 at the All Nations Centre, Cardiff. The conference was led by Geoff Petty and saw ColegauCymru's Teacher's Toolbox launched.
Adult Learners' Week is organised by Niace Dysgu Cymru in collaboration with a host of colleges and others in May.
CollegesWales' annual conference took place at Venue Cymru, Llandudno on 31 May 2012.
The UK-wide VQ Day was held on 20 June 2012 this year. The key organising partners in Wales are: CollegesWales, the Welsh Government and the NTfW. A key event at the National Museum for Wales in Cardiff showcased a diverse range of vocational skills and the VQ Awards were announced by TV presenter and rugby legend Jonathan Davies. Coleg Llandrillo in North Wales also hosted a particularly wide range of hands-on skills demonstrations.
CollegesWales and a number of its member colleges were at the Royal Welsh Show 23-26 July 2012.
WorldSkills is a global competition, with national teams made up of highly skilled young people competing for medals across 46 vocational disciplines and a top world ranking position. 5-9 October 2012 saw WorldSkills come to London. WorldSkills is staged every two years and will next be in Leipzig, Germany in 2013.
Also in November are: Global Enterprise Week.
Finally to round off the year, Engineering Week Wales (EWW) at the end of November/early December each year invites Year 9 school pupils to their local colleges to partipate in interesting, fun, team-based taster sessions aimed at demonstrating engineering in practice.
